We think about the contingencies that may arise from natural disasters
- CROP INSURANCE
- We offer an insurance plan protecting agricultural crops from natural disasters, including 50 different crops from fruits to rice, horticultural equipment, farm produce, and mushrooms. All that farmers have to pay is 20% of the premium while 50% of it is paid for by the government and the remaining 30% by the local government.
- FRUITS
- This is a plan specifically intended to cover damage to fruit crops. Eligible items include apples, pears, tangerines, sweet persimmons, green persimmons, peaches, grapes, plums, kiwis, chestnuts, Japanese apricots, jujubes, raspberries, and mulberries.
- RICE
- This plan guarantees income for losses from the rice harvest. It covers four risks including natural disasters, damage from birds and mammals, fire, and pests.
- HORTICULTURAL EQUIPMENT
- This plan protects you from losses arising from damage to agricultural facilities and other supplementary facilities. It guarantees against risks in relation to natural disasters, damage from birds and mammals, and fire for agricultural facilities, other supplementary facilities, and greenhouse crops.
- FARM PRODUCE
- It guarantees income or production costs for farm produce such as potatoes, beans, onions, sweet potatoes, corn, garlic, peppers, tea, and ginseng.
- MUSHROOMS
- This plan provides guarantees for the production cost of mushroom crops in cases where they are damaged due to typhoons, torrential rain, heavy snow, flooding, lightning, damage from birds and mammals, and fire.
- FARM INCOME GUARANTEE PLAN
- This plan provides income guarantees against harvest cuts due to natural disasters or price reductions. Four kinds of crops, including beans, grapes, onions, and garlic, are eligible for this plan.
- LIVESTOCK DISASTER INSURANCE PLAN
- We offer a variety of discount plans in order to guarantee a stable stream of income for livestock farms. If a livestock farmer renews their insurance contract, we will offer an additional discount of 5%.Up to 50% of the insurance premium is paid for by the government, with 25-40% of the premium bill covered by the local government depending on the locality.
- COMPREHENSIVE FARM EQUIPMENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE
- This plan is provided as part of the government's subsidy package. It offers partial protection against accidents during the operation of farm equipment, thereby lifting the burden from the farmer. Up to 50% of the premium can be paid for by the government, while 25-25% of the premium is paid by the local government in certain localities.
- NATURAL PERILS INSURANCE
- Provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Security, this government-policy insurance plan grants different levels of subsidies depending on the beneficiary's income level. It offers protection against natural disasters such as typhoons or heavy rain.
- ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION INSURANCE
- This insurance provides compensation for losses (life, bodily, or property) arising from environmental pollution caused by corporations such as atmospheric, water, soil, and ocean pollution.
